About Us

what to expect

We know it's not easy visiting a new church for the first time. Sometimes you feel like a nonmember visiting a country club. Do I belong here? Am I really welcome? Will the people be unfriendly, or too friendly? Will it be easy to leave if I don't enjoy it? Will they ask me for money? Will my kids enjoy it? How should I dress?

We want to make your visit an enjoyable experience, stress-free, and relaxing. We have designed our Church to be "User-Friendly" for people, no matter what their background.

Here's a brief overview...

At the front door on Sunday morning's, there should be some friendly people (we call them "greeters") to say hello, answer any questions you have, and direct you to where you need to go.

The service usually begins with some music, followed by the message. The message usually lasts about 30 minutes, and Pastor Lawrence does his best to make the messages interesting, enjoyable, and relevant to daily life. The message will be based on the Bible and will often include interesting quotes and a powerpoint. If the job is done right, you'll find clear principles you can apply to your life, and hopefully, you'll laugh at times and maybe feel a tug at your heart too.

Be sure to stop by the Welcome Center after the service. We have a special gift waiting for you just to let you know how much we appreciate you visiting with us.

Lastly, we feel it's important that you know that we want to get to know you. We don't want you to feel pressured, just valued. Bring all your perceptions, fears and thoughts about church and let us show you the love, community, purpose and hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

We look forward to meeting you.

More questions...

Do my kids sit with me?

We offer dynamic children services from birth to College & Career during the Sunday morning gathering. The age-appropriate rooms and experienced teachers will help your children learn about God in a relevant way, as well as offer fun experiences that will help the teaching come alive in their hearts.

Will I be asked to give money?

If it’s your first time, we actually want you to keep your wallet in your pocket. Just come and experience a service at Millheim. If you like it and want to call it your church home, then we believe giving financially to God and to His church is the right thing to do as part of the family.

Will I be bored?

We sure hope not. A life connected to Jesus should be fulfilling and rewarding. We strategically plan weekend gatherings to engage your heart, mind and soul. We use music, video, powerful teaching and other experiential elements to help you connect to God in a meaningful way.

We understand church may be new to you, that’s why we try very hard to help you feel at home while you're at Millheim.
