About Millheim Baptist Church

Here at Millheim we love people...all people!   Come worship with us and get to know Jesus with our body of believers.  We offer Sunday and Wednesday services, a variety of life groups and ministries, live video and a library of podcast sermons to choose from.

  • Our Mission

Millheim exists to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Our Vision

Our vision is to create a church that will reach beyond its walls to introduce others to Christ.

  • Our Strategy

To create environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue personal intimacy with God.  Millheim is committed to bringing lives to Christ and Christ to everyday life.  It's what drives our decisions and directs our discussions.  We desire to create experiences that are rooted in Scripture, culturally relevant and deeply personal.  We want to clear the way for people to explore God's call, experience God's grace and express their faith.

THE SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.  We believe and accept the scriptures as our authority.  (2 Timothy 3:16)

THE TRINITY
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; three in-one, co-equal, which is the Trinity.  (1 John 5:7)

GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God, the Father, an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love.  We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.  (Isaiah 48:12; Psalms 95: 3,6, Isaiah 40:21-26; Psalm 139:1-12, John 7:37,28)

JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  (John 3:16, Matthew 1:18, Matthew 1:22,23)

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, convicts the world of sin.  He indwells the believer and empowers the preaching and teaching of the Word.  (John 16:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19, Acts 1:8)

SALVATION
We believe the death of the Lord Jesus Christ was according to scripture (Isaiah 53:10) and was a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of all mankind (Romans 5:6-10) so that all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13) and be justified by His shed blood.

We believe man was created directly by God in His own image.  (Genesis 1:27)

We believe man is a sinner, fallen from original righteousness; and, apart from God's redeeming grace, is hopelessly lost.  (Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-3)

We believe man is justified solely by faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ; resulting in forgiveness of sin and his being born into the family of God by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit.  (Romans 5:1, Galatians 2:16, Hebrews 9:12, Ephesians 2:1)

THE ORDINANCES
We observe the two ordinances given by the Lord Jesus Christ: Baptism and Communion.

Baptism is by full immersion to commemorate the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-4)

Communion is a memorial of the New Testament, which commemorates the substitutionary death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.  The bread signifies His broken body and the fruit of the vine represents His shed blood.  (Corinthians 11:23-26)

THE LAST THINGS
We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3-4), His ascension into heaven (Acts 1:9) and His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate.  (Hebrews 7:24-26, 1 John 2:1,2)  We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will come in the clouds to catch up His saints (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51-55) and will return to rule and reign for 1000 years.  (Revelation 19:11-16)
