Our Pastor
Our pastor grew up in Akron here in Springfield Township. At the age of eight he would surrender to preach the gospel. Wanting to serve in the military, he spent four years in the Air force after graduating from Springfield High School. Following his call into the ministry, he pursued a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Education. After completing his education, he returned to the Akron area and has served as the Senior Pastor of Millheim for the past 35 years. Our Pastor brings the Bible to life and teaches how to make the word of God applicable in our everyday lives. He leads with an in-depth knowledge of God’s Word and a true heartfelt passion for Christ. The congregation at Millheim loves his refreshing sense of humor and infectious smile. He is a true inspiration to those in his congregation by living out the compassion and love of Christ. His wife Kathy lost her battle to cancer in 2016. Pastor Lawrence has two children as well who are grown
